The Hoboken Municipal Hospital Authority Board was founded in 2006 through legislation enacted by Gov. Jon Corzine and the City of Hoboken to prevent the city from losing its only hospital, the former St. Mary Hospital. On February 1, 2007 the Authority completed the transaction to have our hospital owned by the residents of Hoboken.
The Authority selected a non profit agency, Hudson Healthcare, LLC, to manage and operate our hospital. The Authority Commissioners have embarked on an aggressive program to recruit the area’s finest doctors, expand medical specialties, refurbish and modernize HUMC into a premiere health care facility. The new State of the Art Emergency Department on the corner of 4th Street and Willow Avenue is now open.
The public is invited to attend the Authority’s monthly meetings at Assumption Hall in the Hoboken University Medical Center Main Building, 308 Willow Avenue, Hoboken, New Jersey.
